I get it, I am a mum too, and I know what it feels like to look at a photography package and do the mental maths, and also try to justify the cost to my husband (who funnily enough HATES family photos). The groceries, the daycare, the car rego that is somehow always due at the worst possible time. $450+ can feel like a big ask when you are already stretched.

But here is the thing that kept sitting with me. Ashton is growing so fast I can barely keep up. I feel so lucky that I have the skill set to capture these moments of him when I want (but to be honestly I’m hardly ever in the photos myself still). The version of him that exists right now will not exist next month.

I did not want price to be the reason Brisbane families missed that. So I built something that I hope can solve it for most.

Introducing the Midweek Mini Moments Sessions

The Midweek Mini Moment is my most accessible family photography session. Here is exactly what it is:

20 minutes. 10 edited images. $200. Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoons, in North Lakes, Albany Creek or Petrie!

Where’s the catch?

Honestly? There isn’t one. But I will be fully transparent about why it works at this price, because I think you deserve to know.

Midweek sessions don’t book the way weekends do, the afternoons are quieter for most photographers, and I am no exception. Rather than leave those golden hours empty, I built a product that fills them with people I actually want to photograph. The locations are selected by me, close to home in north Brisbane, which means no travel time and (full transparency) they are close enough to my son’s babysitter that I can drop Ashton off on the way (a detail that probably makes me sound more organised than I am, but there we go).

The 20-minute format is intentional too. You get more than enough coverage for a genuinely beautiful gallery. And because the session is contained, I am not sifting through the 1300+ images I typically shoot in a 45-minute session. Less editing time means I can keep the price where it is without cutting corners on quality.

The add-on images are genuinely optional. If you love more than your 10 included images, additional shots are $20 each or 5 for $80. But if $200 is your cap, $200 is your cap. No upsell pressure. No awkward moment at the end. Just your 10 beautiful images, delivered and done.

So no, there is no catch. Just a session designed to work for both of us.

What to Expect in 20 Minutes

I know what you are thinking. Twenty minutes does not sound like much.

But here is what I have learned after four years of commercial childcare photography and content creation: the best images almost never happen in hour two of a session. They happen in the first genuine moment, when the kids are still curious and everyone has not yet run out of patience (anyone who has tried to get a one-year-old to sit still for sixty minutes knows exactly what I mean).

I give you something to do with each other, I follow what naturally unfolds and I shoot. Twenty minutes of golden hour light with a photographer who knows what she is doing is genuinely enough to create images you will want on your wall.

Who This Session Is For

Families who want professional photos but are not ready to commit to a full session. Parents who want to capture where their baby or toddler is right now, at this exact age, before it disappears. Mums who have been saying “we should get photos done” for six months and just need an easy, affordable way to actually do it. Anyone who wants beautiful golden hour family photography in Brisbane without the full session price tag.
